Claudia

My parents are 69 and 73 and still live in the city I was born in, in the North East of Italy, so of course I was worried about them when the virus was at it’s peak. Thankfully they have both stayed healthy and well."

Claudia is from Vicenza which was hit pretty hard by the coronavirus and neighbouring some of the worst hit areas in Italy. But she has been living in London for the last two years and wasn’t as worried about Covid19 as she would have been, had she been near her parents.

"No, Personally I wasn’t worried about it at all. All the people I live with are young and healthy, so I am sure we would be fine. I respected other people whenever I was out, but it didn’t worry me or my housemates."

I met Claudia on the 4th July, the first day since before lockdown that pubs in the UK were allowed to open their doors to the public. How did she feel being able to be out in a pub again enjoying a pint with friends?

"To be honest nothing has changed really. If you wanted to, you could always find a good house party, even during lockdown" she said with a smile.
