The one that got away!

As a photographer there are no excuses for not getting the shot ( and not getting it sharp!). But here's my excuse anyway . The combined weight of me, knees planted on the tarmac and my Galaxy S3 in hand, were no match  against the force 5 gales this morning!!!

I had already  spent a few minutes walking around the tree looking for an interesting angle to photograph when I saw the lady approaching , with her long jacket flapping in the wind. Unfortunately ( well fortunately really, as it made the shot !) this coincided with biggest gust of wind I'd experienced that morning, and despite my best efforts to ground myself , with out my proper camera and tripod their was no way to get the sharp image I had envisaged. Added to this as the the wind blew , my bike , which had until then been happily laying on its side next to me ,preceded to be blow down the road ,so I was somewhat distracted  from the image in the  frame. Nevertheless although it's not sharp ,hopefully it captures some of the drama of what was one of Britain's biggest storms in a decade.
